Chef Akino has spent the last ten years of his career working his way up the culinary ladder by beginning as a line cook and student of the world of culinary arts.Akino grew up and began his culinary knowledge in his hometown, Riviera Beach, Florida. After excelling in vocational programming such as Skills USA, FCCLA, and Pro Start, while in high school; Akino decided to make the progressive move by attending Johnson & Wales University in North Miami Beach FL. After four 4 years of dedication, Chef West graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management while working his way up to being the Executive Sous Chef at the James Beard award-winning, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. West then moved on to further his portfolio by taking on the opportunity to stage and work among the best of the hospitality industry in the world at the two- Michelin-star rated and 2010-2012 and 2014’s Number 1 restaurant in the world, NOMA, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Chef Akino claims that his experience while at NOMA to be his most honorable accomplishment thus far. West made the modest move back to South Florida to take on the role as Executive Sous Chef at Verde Restaurant, located at the Perez Art Museum Miami. After his tenure West decided to move this career in a different direction and is now Chef de Partie at Ghee: Indian Kitchen along side his mentor and close friend, Chef Niven Patel. Chef West is a curator of exceptional menus based on his local cuisine and Southern comfort foods with refined ingredients.

The passionate hospitality professional began her career at a young age working part-time at well to-do restaurants within the Hudson Valley area of New York. After years of training while in high school, she went on to attend The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. Jamila has spent the last five years growing, learning &advising within the hospitality industry internationally. She has worked under some of the best chefs & hospitality groups of the current time, including James Beard Award Winning, Chef Jose Andres, Iron Chef Winner Chef Peter Kelly, SBE Hospitality, Pubbelly Group & Trust Hospitality.In 2013 she was accredited as Collaborate Business Magazine’s “30 under 30” professionals to be on the watch for. Soon after, she went on to achieve a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University. Jamila has spent the last 10 years working in major destination cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Kuwait & Dubai. Currently, she is the Senior Restaurant Manager for The Dewar's Clubhouse , an exclusive lounge for the Miami Heat's VIP guests at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami.
