Danny Ramirez presents The Westchester!
Daniel Ramirez, a Miami native, always had a passion for live fire cooking. He was first introduced to it by his grandparents at the age of nine, and took every chance he could get watching them harvest vegetables and roast pigs by fire.
This 17 year veteran of the hospitality business got his start in the industry bussing tables at fifteen. When he finally decided he wanted to make a career out of working in hospitality, he started working at Talula and quickly moved up the ranks, under Andrea Curto-Randazzo and Kyle Foster.
After graduating Johnson and Wales in 2010, he began working at MIchael's Genuine under the then Chef de Cuisine, Bradley Herron. It was there that he was reunited with live fire cooking, and ran the coveted wood burning oven. He worked his way up to Sous Chef, and has spent the last 7 years with Michael Schwartz, helping grow the group by opening and expanding Harry's Pizzeria.
Now he is working on his first project, and bringing The Westchester to his own backyard.
